Dolly Parton was born on the 19th January, 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She was raised alongside 12 other kids. The vivid imagination of her mother helped her escape from life's harsh reality. life. Even before learning to read or write she wrote herself songs. Her first guitar was given to her at the age of eighteen. She began singing in a Knoxville Tenn station by the age of 11. She recorded her first album during the same year Gold Band Records, a small independent label. She made a name for herself locally while still at high school, but dreamed of a bigger stage. After she finished her high school, in 1964 she moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. In the year 1967, Porter Wagoner was looking for a new girl singer for his television show that was syndicated. Parton accepted the job and in the year 1967, she signed to RCA Records in 1968 and joined the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. The year 1974 was the first that she decided to leave Wagoner's program as the popularity of her own solo records such as Joshua Coat, Many Colors, and Jolene exceeded their collective efforts. Following their breakup, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it debuted at Number. Its first appearance at number 1 was in 1974.
