Fawn McKay's Brodie was born Ogden Utah on September 15 1915. Reared in the Mormon Church's original family Fawn McKay directed her ingenious talent for writing and her impressive researching skills in the creation of a amazing psycho-historical biographical biography of Joseph Smith, published in 1945. The book was titled The Only Man has My History. This title is derived from a funeral sermon delivered by the founder of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844. He shocked those he addressed with the words: You don't know me you never knew my heart. My history is unknown to anybody. There is no way for me to tell you. The 29-year-old wrote Fawn: Since the moment when he spoke, more than three writers have taken up the gauntlet. Many have abused him some have glorified him. A handful have attempted at diagnosing him clinically. It's not that documents are lacking but rather they're in complete contradiction. It's difficult to organize these records and to distinguish first-hand stories from the third-hand versions and to put Mormon as well as non Mormon narratives together into a coherent mosaic.
